Game Screens

A walkthrough of the main screens you will encounter while playing Dungeons & Moles, from the hub menu through exploration, combat, and end-of-run results.

Landing Screen

Landing screen

The first screen you see when launching the game. From here you can either connect a supported wallet to sign in or tap “Play as Guest” to try the game without an account. After signing in, you are taken to the Hub.

Hub Screen

Hub screen

The Hub is the main menu and your starting point every time you launch the game. From here you can access all major game modes and manage your account.

The Hub has the following buttons:

Campaign — opens the Campaign stage select screen.
PvP — opens the PvP mode selector (Gauntlet, Duels, Pit Draft).
Items — manage your item pool. Add or remove items from your active pool and browse your collection.
Quests — view available quests and track progress (coming soon).
Skins — browse and equip cosmetic skins for your mole character.
Marketplace — buy, sell, and trade NFT skins and items with other players.
PvP Ranks — view the Gauntlet leaderboard, current epoch, prize pool, and your ranking.

Additionally, the Hub includes a Settings menu (gear icon) for audio, gameplay, and display preferences, and a Profile menu for managing your account, viewing your in-game wallet balance, and withdrawing SOL.

Campaign Select

Campaign select

The campaign select screen lets you choose from 40 stages spread across 4 acts (10 stages per act). Each stage tile displays:

Level number — 1 through 40.
Lock state — locked stages appear greyed out. Stages unlock sequentially as you clear them.
Difficulty indicator — a visual cue that increases with stage number, reflecting higher enemy stats, reduced starting HP, and lower starting gold at later stages.

PvP Screens

PvP screens

Tapping PvP from the Hub opens a mode selector where you choose between Gauntlet, Duels, and Pit Draft. All three PvP screens follow a similar layout:

Mode description — a brief summary of the mode's rules and format.
Entry fee / stake — the SOL cost to enter is displayed before you confirm.
Start button — enters matchmaking and creates the session.
History — each PvP mode has a history tab showing your past matches, results, and earnings.

Once a PvP session starts, the gameplay screen is the same as Campaign — you explore, fight, and build your loadout. The difference is in how opponents and rewards are resolved (see each mode's dedicated page for details).

Items Screen

Game Screen (Exploration)

Game screen

The main gameplay screen uses a landscape layout and is where you spend most of your time during a run. The screen is divided into several regions:

Tile-based map (center) — the dungeon map rendered as a grid of tiles. Unexplored tiles are hidden behind fog of war and reveal as you move adjacent to them.
Left sidebar — displays your current HP, Gold balance, core stats (ATK, ARM, SPD, DIG), and inventory of equipped items.
D-pad controls (right) — directional controls for movement. On desktop these map to arrow keys or WASD; on mobile they appear as touch buttons.
Top bar — shows the current Day/Night phase and the move counter indicating how many moves remain in the current phase.

Combat Screen

Combat screen

Combat is fully automatic. When you step onto an enemy tile, the game transitions to the combat screen, which displays:

Enemy (left) vs. Player (right) — sprites face each other in the center arena. HP bars, armor bars, and stats (ATK, SPD, DIG) are shown in the sidebars.
Left sidebar (enemy) — displays the enemy's name, HP, armor, stats, and trait descriptions.
Right sidebar (player) — displays your HP, armor, stats, gold, and equipped items.
Status effect icons — active effects (Chill, Rust, Bleed, Shrapnel) appear as icons beneath the arena.
Speed controls — Paused, Normal, Fast, and Super Fast playback to control combat speed.
Turn counter — shown at the top of the arena indicating the current turn number.

Victory / Defeat

At the end of every run, the results screen appears with a summary of your performance:

Stats summary — total enemies defeated, gold earned, tiles explored, bosses cleared.
Items collected — a list of items you acquired and their final upgrade tiers.
Unlocked item — on a first-time campaign victory, one random locked item is permanently unlocked and displayed prominently.
