Gauntlet

A 5-week endurance PvP run where you fight Echo opponents — recorded snapshots of other players' builds — and compete for leaderboard placement.

Gauntlet

The Gauntlet follows the same exploration loop as the campaign — Day/Night cycles, shops, and encounters — but extends the run to 5 weeks instead of 3. Rather than facing scripted bosses, you battle Echo opponents: snapshots captured from other players at the same point in their own Gauntlet runs. Results feed into a ranked leaderboard.

Echo Opponents

Echo opponents are not AI enemies — they are real builds assembled by real players, captured as snapshots at the end of each week. When you reach the boss phase of a given week, you fight someone else's recorded build from that same progression point. This means the difficulty of each week scales naturally with the player population: stronger players create stronger Echoes.

Opponent Visibility

Your Echo opponent's build for the current week is always visible. You can inspect their stats, equipped items, and loadout while exploring, allowing you to tailor your build to counter them before the boss fight triggers.

Gear Slot Progression

The Gauntlet's 5-week format extends gear slots beyond the standard 8, reaching up to 12 by Week 5. See the Items page for the full slot progression table.

Ranking & Points

Every Gauntlet run earns points based on the Echo opponents you defeat. Points are accumulated per player across an epoch and determine your leaderboard rank. The leaderboard displays the top 100 players with their point totals and reward share percentage.

How Points Work

Points are awarded for two actions: defeating an Echo opponent (Survival Points) and having your build used as an Echo that defeats another player (Defender Points). Later weeks are worth significantly more, rewarding players who survive deep into the run.

WeekSurvival PointsDefender PointsCumulative Survival
Week 110310
Week 225835
Week 3451580
Week 47024150
Week 510035250
Survival Points are awarded when you defeat the Echo opponent at the end of a week
Defender Points are awarded passively when your recorded build (used as an Echo by the system) defeats another player
A perfect 5-week run earns 250 survival points total

Epochs

The Gauntlet operates in epochs— fixed time periods (14 days) that define a competitive season. At the end of each epoch:

The leaderboard is finalized and rewards become claimable
A new epoch begins with fresh leaderboards and a new prize pool
All player scores reset to zero for the new epoch
The cycle repeats indefinitely

Reward Distribution

The prize pool is funded by contributions from all game modes— Gauntlet entry fees (97%), Duels and Pit Draft stakes (2% each), Campaign run packs (50%), and NFT marketplace trades (2%). At the end of each epoch, the pool is distributed proportionally based on points:

Share % = your points / total points of all players in the epoch
Your reward = share % × total pool SOL
Every player with points > 0 is eligible for rewards — there is no rank cutoff
Rewards must be claimed via an on-chain transaction after the epoch ends
Note: The more runs you complete in an epoch, the more points you accumulate. Players who run multiple strong Gauntlet sessions will rank higher than those with a single great run.

Tip: The prize pool grows from all game activity — not just Gauntlet entries. Every Duel, Pit Draft, run pack purchase, and NFT trade contributes. Consistently strong Gauntlet performance across multiple runs is the most reliable way to earn SOL through gameplay.
